How to Access Blocked Content Online?

8 Ways to Unblock Content on the Internet

There might have been many instances where you were in school, or at work surfing the web, opening new links when all of a sudden your webpage would display that the website that you are trying to access is blocked. Companies and educational institutes like to filter out what web pages can, and cannot be accessed so that their students or employees don’t get side tracked. Our ISPs will often block websites due to geographical restrictions.

Hence to stay on top of your game, and access blocked websites online, TEQnation provides the methods below:

  1. Use a Proxy Sites: Using a proxy site just means that you visit your desired webpage through a third party server. A list of proxy sites can be found here. All you have to do is click on the domain, and enter the website you want to unblock. While using proxy sites, just make sure you don’t enter any sensitive data such as passwords or your banking details, and you should be good to go!
  2. Use a VPN: A VPN or a Virtual Private Network not only provides you with a clock on anonymity, but also ensures that you can access everything on the internet. However, since there is no such thing as a free meal in life, VPN’s are also paid services. One such VPN is HideMyAss (https://www.hidemyass.com/), which can be available for about USD 12 a month. How to Access Blocked Content Online?
  3. Internet Archive: The Way Back Machine is an online Internet Archive that takes a backup of your site on a regular bases. This way if your website gets blocked for some reason, then you can still view a version of it, however it won’t be up to date. Make sure to check it out http://www.archive.org/How to Access Blocked Content Online?
  4. URL Recasting: Go to your browser and in the URL you are trying to access, add an “s” right after the “http.” So if the URL was http://www.TEQnation.com, then the new URL should be https://www.TEQnation.com . Then click on “Proceed to,” and the page hopefully should be unblocked.

DJI Unveils $1399 Semi-Autonomous Phantom 4

phantom 4

Chinese manufacturer DJI Technology has done it again. DJI has released a new quad rotor drone which is to supersede the DJI Phantom 3 that was released last year. DJI calls it the Phantom 4, and will start shipping out the drones to buyers by March 15, and will be available for purchase from Apple and DJI stores. The Phantom 4 will be hitting the shelves of other retailers by March 25.

There is no doubt that the DJI Phantom 4 can fly faster, higher, and longer than the Phantom 4, but the feature that has got fans crazy over this one is its semi automate flight. This new feature makes the drone easier to fly for amateurs as well as harder to crash!

This $1399 drone has a set of optical sensors that help it manoeuvre its way through obstacles that are up to 2.3 feet away. Another nifty feature is that the quad copter, has a “Return to Home” button, which locates the user and will safely fly back to the user in time of need. DJI has also managed to create a new mode called ActiveTrack which can be found on the DJI’s Go app. ActiveTrack allows the drone to follow the subject and ultimately provide better footage with the help of autonomous flight. All the user has do to is tap on the subject that is visible on the screen and Voila! The DJI Phantom 4 follows you! The cool part is that the once you enter the autonomous mode, you can carefully alter the camera movements to get the footage you really want.

DJI has also incorporated a better battery pack as the Phantom 4 can achieve a flight time of about 28 minutes, which is 5 minutes more than that of the Phantom 3. The Phantom 4 can also attain a maximum speed of 72kmh, which is about 45 mph, and has a control range of about 5km or 3.1mi The Phantom 4 houses a 4k camera, which can now record 1080p footage at 120 fps. The company claims that its new 8 element lens increases the sharpness in its video.

Let’s just hope that DJI can work on making the Phantom 4 a bit more pocket friendly for now!

10 Must Know YouTube Tricks

Watching YouTube is becoming an everyday ritual for some of us nowadays, yet we still don’t use it effectively. This is a ten section guide to enhance your YouTube experience and to teach you to extract more out of YouTube. Let’s take a look:

  1. Slow Motion- You can watch YouTube videos on slow motion! How cool is that eh? All you have to do is click on the video after it has buffered and then hold down the space bar button. Holding down the space bar will play and pause the video, creating a s low motion effect.
  2. Playing from a Specific Point- If you really value your time, and know the video you are watching inside and out, then skip straight to the point you want to watch. All you have to do is add #t=01m35s or #t=01m11s next to the URL, and the video will start from that point. Neat eh?
  3. Play Snake while the Video Buffers- Do you have nothing to do, while you sit and wait for your video to buffer? Then fear not, because you can play snake with the loading icon on in the video. Whilst the video buffers, simply use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys to get started, and chomp away at your food!
  4. Download YouTube Videos- Download your favourite YouTube videos seamlessly by adding “ss” just before the “youtube” in the link. So if the link were https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AqnCSdkjQ0, then to download the video add the “ss” in the link like this https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=0AqnCSdkjQ0. This will send you to an online YouTube video downloader that will do all the work for you. It will even let you select which format of the video you want to download!
  5. Know Your YouTube Shortcuts! – Ever feel too lazy to reach over to the mouse? If so, then learn to use these short cuts to YouTube to make your life easy. Press the spacebar or “k” key to play and pause the videos. The “j” key will rewind the video by 10 seconds, and the “l” key will fast forward it by 10 seconds. Last but not least, if you want to mute the video quickly then use the “m” key. The number “0” will go straight to the beginning of the video, and numbers “1-9” will jump to 10% to 90% of video.
  6. Control YouTube using the Keyboard- If you’re feeling super lazy one day or suddenly think that using the mouse is over rated then it’s time to move on. You can now control YouTube using nothing more than your keyboard. That’s right, all you have to do is type “/lean_back” next to the YouTube URL, and then you can literally lean back and use the user friendly interface to scroll through and watch your favourite channels using your keyboard keys.
  7. Make GIFs from YouTube Videos- To make gif images from your favourite YouTube videos, all you have to do is type “gif” before “youtube” in the URL like this https://www.gifyoutube.com/watch?v=RDvCChbKGas.” Then you can even select the start and end time of the gif and make a meme out of it later!
  8. Customizing the Search Format- Well this isn’t exactly customizing the way YouTube displays the videos you searched for. Actually, why don’t you try searching for “Use the force luke” or “Beam me up scotty” in YouTube and see for yourselves!
  9. Disable Autoplay- The autoplay in YouTube can become annoying at times. To disable or turn of the autoplay feature, all you have to do is move to the top right corner of the YouTube screen and toggle of the autoplay button. That’s it!
  10. Karoake Time! – You can now turn YouTube into your very own Karaoke player. All it takes is just an extension download: Musixmatch to be exact. Download the Musixmatch extension for Google Chrome and see lyrics to your favourite songs overlap music videos.
