Apple’s new product launch did not come to us as a surprise as the much talked about rumors became true, Apple released its brand new iPhone SE.
It seems that the 4 inch phones are still a fad, as Apple reportedly sold 30 million iPhones with 4 inch screens in 2015. Some companies don’t even manage to sell 30 million of their flag ship devices, and here Apple manages to sell 30 million and that of their 4 inch screen models.
Apple has certainly played their cards right by identifying the demand in the market and taking advantage of it. For those of you who don’t know, the iPhone SE is basically the build of the iPhone 5S, but with the power of the iPhone 6S.
Apple is famous for making some of the most aesthetically and ergonomically appealing devices in the world. However, making chargers doesn’t seem to be there specialty.
This is where a company called Ten One Design, revealed the “Blockhead” to the world. The Blockhead is a side facing plug that can be put on your Apple charger that allows users to charge their new Macbook or iPad, with the adapter parallel to the wall, hence saving space in crowded places.
This simple, yet smart design of the Blockhead only required one inch of clearance, as compared to standard 60W power adapter plug that requires 3.8 inches. Also, the geometry of the design ensure that the power cord is always pointing downwards, reduces any sort of cord stress.
Ten One Design claims that the accessory is compatible with all Apple chargers that are rated 10W or more. This means that it will work with all the Macbook models, as well as the iPad models, but not the original iPad mini.
The only problem we see with the Blockhead is that sharing a power board or a power strip may become an issue if there are multiple users around. It would be very cruel of you if you blocked someone’s charging outlet using the Blockhead.
On the bright side, all those interested can preorder the Blockhead on the Ten One Design website, for USD 19.95, where shipping starts in April.
Let us know if you liked the Blockhead in the comments below! Or drop us a mail on Contact.TEQnation@gmail.com with any suggestions for this article.

After WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion, every developer wants to make the next big messaging app that mirrors the success of WhatsApp. Messaging apps are going to any extent to please their users. Whether it be, making new emoticon packages to starting free voice calling services, they are doing it all. But with such a congested and rapidly growing market, is there still room for another messaging app? The BeamIt App believes so.
The BeamIt app is a so called “visual messaging” app that wants to add context to photo sharing and making it more meaningful. The app is currently available on iOS, and will soon be rolling out for Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone. BeamIt has basic features such as likes, comments, and sharing photos, but somehow still manages to be different. After spending a while on it, we realized that the GUI is so fluidic that is makes all your conversations and comments seem like one entire thread, instead of separate occasions.
It seems WhatsApp has realized that it is time they evolve from the regular text and picture sending service into something greater.
WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone users that lets them share PDF files with their contacts. PDFs are the only file format that can be transferred for now, but WhatsApp is working on .doc files. This can be done by tapping the attachment paperclip button, and then tapping the “attach document.” This feature is not limited to attaching PDF files that are stored locally on your device, in fact you can also send PDF files that are stored on any of your cloud services.
However if the contact has not upgrading their WhatsApp version on their end, they won’t be able to receive the pdf file.
